When I was Younger (Spoken Word).

When I was younger,

the sky was blue

and the grass was

green.

Death was just like

saying goodbye,

and heaven was

a place that existed.

Though now I’m older,

hell seems real

and the colours

are blurred.

Black seems to

cloud my head

and the ground is

always grey.

I can’t make it

the way it was

when I was

younger.

Death rips me

apart, and I cry

more than I

laugh.

When I was younger,

I didn’t fear death

and school wasn’t

a death sentence.

Though now the world

seems upside down,

and it will never be

the same again.
